Starting from Athens, with short stops on your way you will visit the Corinth canal with its breath-taking view. Ancient Corinth, Museum and Acro – Corinth and through the mountain we visit the man-made lake Doxa and the monastery of Agios Georgios. Later we will visit the historical town of Kalavryta, built on the slopes of Mt. Helmos. The trademark of Kalavryta is its small train, the “Odontotos” Its. 22km journey from Kalavryta to Diakofto is one of the most spectacular rack & pinion rail trips. The narrow-gauge tracks follow the Vouraikos River through tunnels, over water-falls, along cliffs and through forests of pine and oleander. Our trip will continue from Diakofto to Loutraki with final destination Athens.
